Eric Zener

Eric Zener (b. 1966, Astoria, OR)  completed his BA in 1988 at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As an artist he has been engaged in a quest to observe and understand the inner experience of human beings. Water has served as a primary metaphor for such experience. For Zener, “the lone figure immersed in water illustrates the constant force and changing tides in our lives. Above the surface we may appear to be together and unaffected, however below the surface, we are in a constant state of transformation and illumination.”

Zener’s work has been shown in the United States and internationally since 1988. He has had numerous solo exhibitions and been represented in many group shows at Gallery Henoch in New York City. He has enjoyed a presence at any number of international art fairs, including Art Miami, Art Basel Miami, Art Chicago, the Seattle Art Fair, the Dallas Art Fair, and the San Francisco Art Fair. Multiple publications have reviewed his work. Some of these are ARTnews, The London Times, The Boston Globe, International Artist, and Art and Antiques. His work has been acquired by a variety of personal, corporate, and public collectors.
