Babes in Toyland

Art & Antiques

ROBERT C. JACKSON, an American painter based in Kennett Square, Pa., creates out-of-the-box still lifes that incorporate Pop Art elements and virtuoso technical ability. Jackson, who studied and worked in electrical engineering before becoming a full-time artist in 1996, takes the table out of still life, orienting objects, toys, vintage boxes and soda crates, and pieces of ephemera in groupings on the floor, against walls, and in innocuous corners.
