Ioanna Stefou

Ioanna Stefou (b. 1981, Lamia, Greece) is a painter based in Athens. In 2006, she completed her degree in Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens and worked in the industry for over a decade. After attending a Fine Arts course at the New York Academy of Art, Stefou shifted her focus to painting. She sees painting as a form of communication and uses her work to explore human nature.

Stefou was shortlisted for the ModPortrait 2020 competition which took place at the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona and was awarded the Artemiranda Prize. Her work is represented in several private collections.
